Il VISOR (acronimo di Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ Replacement) era una protesi medica utilizzata dalla Federazione per aiutare la cecità e i disturbi visivi. Permetteva agli utenti di avere un'acutezza visiva che andava ben oltre le capacità tipiche degli esseri umani, con un'estensione ad altri spettri, tra cui l'infrarosso e l'ultravioletto. Il VISOR, come si vede nella serie televisiva Star Trek: The Next Generation e nel film del 1994 Star Trek: Generations, era indossato dal timoniere e successivamente ingegnere capo Geordi La Forge, interpretato da Levar Burton.
La replica del VISOR di Factory Entertainment è stata creata dopo un attento studio delle risorse presenti negli archivi Paramount e degli oggetti di scena autenticati in collezioni private. Il telaio della replica è realizzato in lega di alluminio, mentre le aste e la rete metallica sono in ottone. Ogni replica include una custodia in acrilico da museo, una targhetta metallica numerata in sequenza e un libretto con il Certificato di Autenticità (COA). Limitato a 500 pezzi. Questa replica è destinata esclusivamente all'esposizione. Non è indossabile.
